How do I plan our portrait session?

Our family photographer will work with you in helping plan for your portrait session. Designing your portrait session can be an exciting and exhilarating experience for the entire family. And when the finished portrait is on display in your home, you will find that the carefully planned session will be reflected in a tasteful work of art that is individualized in both style and design. Your decorative portraits will become a personal expressive statement of family, children, pets, or events.

Can I purchase a Luce gift certificate?

You can purchase a Luce Gift Certificate in any value over $50 which can be used either towards the session fee, or for purchasing Luce Products. These gift certificates can be used towards headshots, newborn photos, senior photos, family photos and much more!

Do you have any props available?

Yes, we do have props available for you to use, however we encourage you to bring your own props, toys and keepsakes as they reflect your lifestyle, personality and individuality!

Can I bring a change of clothes?

Yes. We encourage you to bring a change of clothes.

Ideally for a 50 minutes family photographer session, up to 3 outfits is ideal so that you can have something dressier, a casual outfit and fun.

For our 30 minute specials, one outfit change may be planned. Just guage it by the age group in your shoot.

If you are planning a session with your child, you may want to dress in clothing where there is one color that ties your outfits together (even if it's just a scarf). It is not necessary to match your outfits too much. Subtlety is key. Ladies, don't forget the dresses ~ they look stunning in the images!

Jeans (medium-dark wash) look great in our images and are much more preferable to khakhi.

Bring along outfits that show off your personality and add some color, then come and have fun!

How do I determine the best size for the location?

It is best to choose a place in your home which is visible and that you feel is best suited for your new portraits. Remember your portrait will become the room's focal point and all elements of design, color, style, composition and size must work together to complete the decorative statement.

Once you have found the perfect spot for a portrait please stick a piece of regular copy paper on the wall and stand back at a good viewing distance to take the photo. We have software that will take the guesswork out of your investment so we can show you how the image will look on the wall in your home.

How many people can I bring to my shoot?

The Luce session has a limitation of 6 people per family photographer session, however we would love to have a large group at the session but there will be an aditional charge as we will need more time to accommodate everyone. Please call us for details at 817.424.LUCE.

Can I bring my pet to the shoot?

Of course! We love to photograph friendly pets ~ simply check with the studio ahead of time to ensure we can accommodate your pet when you book your session.

Can you take portraits in my home?

All Luce portrait sessions are conducted in our State-of-the-Art Studios. You will find that our photographers are very skilled at making you comfortable and put you at ease. Plus our studio environment produces images which are hard to capture elsewhere.

Is the Luce session suitable for High School Seniors?

Seniors will love our senior photographer sessions as they are so much fun and offer numerous changes of clothing. You can choose from either an outdoor or studio shoot or a combo of both. Call us for more details - 817.424.5823.

Do you photograph weddings?

At the current time we are not photographing weddings. However, this may be changing in the near future.

How about planning a girls shoot with your best freinds, our runway parties appeal to all age groups.

How do we choose our prints?

You will be invited to view your images a week after your photo session with us. This is when you will decide upon your favorites and order your Luce products, so it's helpful to come with ideas as to where you would like to display your images and in what sizes. Please see the Info tab under Preparation for questions to ask yourself. Book your baby-sitter and please allow one uninterrupted hour for the viewing. Once you place your order it will take 4-6 weeks to have the product ready for collection, and display in your home.

How do you finish our portraits?

Each portrait is carefully finished to LUCE Photography's high standards. Each studio print is color enhanced, retouched and carefully mounted. We can also custom frame of your choice with non-glare glass to preserve the quality of your image. Gallery Wrapped Portraits receive the same treatment and are placed and stretched across canvas to cover the entire frame. All of LUCE Photography images are printed by the best professional custom color lab.

How about digital negatives?

All negatives are the property of LUCE Photography. We do not sell individual negatives, however we do provide a low-res digital, watermarked copy of any print that you purchase larger than 5"x7" for you to keep for personal use. All images created by LUCE Photography are copyrighted and covered by the copyright laws of the United States. Any reproduction in printed or digital media and/ or distribution of any image, for public or private use, is strictly forbidden without the express written consent of LUCE Photography. How do we book a portrait session?

Please contact us at 817.424.LUCE to book your session. We recommend that you meet with a studio representative for a pre-session consultation before your portrait session so we can plan and prepare to meet your every need. We are open Tuesday through Saturday ~ please call ahead to schedule an appointment.

How much is a photography session and when is it due?

We have various sessions depending upon whether you prefer a studio or outdoor session. Please contact the studio for details - 817.424.5823.

How much is required to place my order?

For orders over $1000 - 50% deposit is required at the time you place your product order. For all other orders the full payment is due at the time you place your order.We also have very simple payment plans - 0% interest. Ask us for details.It generally takes four to six weeks to complete custom portraits.

Where are you located?

Our studio is located in Southlake, TX at 935 South Kimball Ave, Suite 158, Southlake, TX 76092. We are located next to Dragon Stadium in the Trinity Park building.
