Photography Session Preparation

The following tips will help you in preparing for your family or senior photography session with us: Your session will be relaxed & informal allowing us to capture your true expressions and family dynamic. We will do our best to make you feel at ease and our unique approach will ensure your images are fresh & natural.

Our solid white "infinity" background shows stunning images, however white or pastel colored clothes can get lost, so we suggest wearing bright & vibrant clothing or layering items especially if you are planning on wearing solid black or white clothing.

If you are unsure please feel free to bring several clothing options and we will help you choose what will be best.

Ladies and girls, dresses that move are great for your more formal portraits.

For the casual portraits medium to dark wash jeans look great, and are much more preferable to khakhi.

Guys, don't forget to pay attention to the color of your socks.

Overall, bring along outfits that show off your personality and add some color, then come and have fun!

In order for us to personalize your family photographer session, we encourage you to bring along any personal items and toys that are important to your children (eg. basketballs, footballs, skateboards, musical instruments, ballet shoes, favorite stuffed toy for the younger ones.)

For a full family photography shoot two outfit changes are best, for example arrive in something dressy, then change into a casual outfit. Medium to dark wash jeans work great here.

If you can't decide, just bring as much as you like and decide when you get here.

For a 30 minute shoot try to limit to no more than one outfit change so that we can take as many images as possible.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your session. In the event that you need to reschedule your session please ask the studio about our cancellation policy. There will be a fee charged for sessions that are cancelled within 7 days of the shoot.

If you would like professional make up application please let us know.

Items to bring checklist:

  • A variety of vibrant clothing options for all members of the family

  • Props, toys or any other objects to personalize your family's images

  • Your session booking information

  • Your calendar (to schedule your viewing session)

  • Your family and/or pet!

Prepare for your viewing session by thinking about where in your home you could display your art.

Ask yourself:

  • Where in my home could I display my LUCE art and what are the dimensions of that space? What size frame would be best suitable for your wall?

  • Which color and what type of frame would compliment the space?
